Wie we zijn / Who we are

Who we are

We are a group of Christians who gather regularly to worship God and share our lives with one another. There are young families as well as people with more life experience. We are from various nationalities and languages. The makeup of the group insures that anyone will quickly feel at home here.

What we believe

We believe that we have a new life by approaching God through Jesus. We believe that the Bible has all the information we need in order to please God, that the Holy Spirit wants to truly and deeply change us and that faith has positive consequences for all aspects of our lives. Scroll down further to see more about what we believe.

What we do together

Every church is a bit different, just like families differ. And still, there are certain things that churches in each city have in common. Each Sunday we gather to worship God in song, word and prayer. We seek in the Bible how to live practically for God. In addition we take time to encourage one another.

Usually, after a time of prayer there will be a time of song before we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is also a time of reading aloud from the Bible, people are able to bring a financial offering if they desire, and a message is presented from the word of God after which the time together is closed with prayer. After eventual announcements we take time to drink a cup of coffee or tea and to discuss our lives together or the lesson we have just heard. Once a month we also eat together - a "Family feast" where everyone brings something in order to share with all. There are also children's classes for the youngest children.

Wat geloven we?

Wij geloven

What do we believe?

We believe

that the Bible is the inspired word of God that shows us the way to a life with God in Jesus. The various writers of this unique library were lead by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is then our guide for what we believe and how we live.

What does the Bible say?

We believe

that God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - made us all. We all have a responsibility therefore to listen to Him – God is the Creator. When we go our own way and neglect the perfection of our maker we drift away from God's way. This is called "sin". We miss the target. We are not perfect, and therefore we cannot be with God. But He wants us to be with Him and has made sure that we can be saved.

What does the Bible say?

We believe

that God came to us as a man in Jesus. He allowed himself to be killed in a horrific manner - while he had done absolutely nothing wrong. He was without sin. But his death make it possible for us to escape sin and come to God.

What does the Bible say?

We believe

that Jesus not only died for our sins, but also that he rose from death. In this way he showed that he is truly God who lives for us and who judges all. In this way we also have the promise of new life, if we trust him with our life.

What does the Bible say?

We believe

that everyone who believes in Jesus can receive this salvation. We are saved by the gift of Jesus - this is called "grace". When we trust in faith, in the death and resurrection of Jesus, and let ourselves be buried and raised in water we are saved from sin through the blood of Jesus and brought into grace. God saves us through His might! We are completely washed clean! What does the Bible say?

We believe

that the Holy Spirit lives in each believer in order to change us into people who please God. We become children of God, special for Him and belonging only to Him. This is called "holy". With the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives we can live as God intended and we become examples of God's grace to everyone around us.

What does the Bible say?

Do you realize that you too need the love and salvation of Jesus?
Do you want this life with God?
Do you want to leave your imperfect life behind and start a new life in the Lord?
You can!

Contact us and let's discuss this together.
